Superior quality and performance compared to thermostats found in GM engines. From what I've heard firsthand, Motorad also makes AC Delco thermostats. These high performance thermostats look and function significantly differently than standard thermostats. The flow and rate of regulation is quite different from standard thermostats, so I don't see any temperature fluctuations under high load like I've seen with the standard type of thermostat typically seen climbing steep hills at highway speeds. Application specific to 1997 Chevrolet Astro Van: The temperature needle is moved significantly to the left on the 180F thermostat version. In addition, there is no negative impact on emissions and fuel consumption.
