While it's great to have access to different types of cables in one device, I accidentally noticed that it doesn't charge as fast as it should . My 5th gen mini iPad was charging and noticed that it doesn't charge very quickly during the day. Another day I connected a portable charger to the mini USB for more than 24 hours and barely got 54% and started at 0%. Usually my regular cords make it in less than 15 hours for a portable charger. Not sure if the cable itself is 2.4 alone, but maybe it spreads even lower with each cable. It will be fine for now, but I definitely won't be buying it again or recommending it to anyone unless it gets better. I'm not a big fan of the little lightbulb that lights up on each wire. Not sure if it needs to be on for the cable to "work". Maybe that's why using a power cord isn't enough as all cords/plugs will burn. I suppose if this wire is used then shouldn't it be the only wire that lights up? Maybe where the power goes somewhere else and everything to the device. Aside from that... The quality of the cable is very good and it seems to hold up to frequent flexing. Good idea, bad result. I just wish it worked well as it looks appropriate.
