Review on Canon PowerShot Compact Digital Camera by Jason Bell

I bought this Canon G9X II camera for my wife before going to Yellowstone. Personally, I use a full-frame DSLR and am pretty picky about my photos. I'm very impressed with the G9X II. I've attached some JPEG images taken straight from the camera (SOOC). NONE OF THE APPLIED PHOTOS HAVE ANY POST PROCESSING. I included my photo only to show skin tone, not to showcase my gear. I've included a photo of a moose because it was in very low early morning light and was shot at ISO 12800. The 1 inch sensor seems to help in low light. Of course the camera also shoots in RAW so feel free to post the edit if you like but I think JPEG SOOC is pretty good and can speak for itself. The original batteries last long enough, but I haven't had the same performance with third-party batteries. So buy the original batteries if you want a backup. My wife is a beginner so she needs help trying to use settings other than full auto.. definitely more camera than needed or would a beginner probably use. Attached photos were taken in manual mode under the guidance of an experienced photographer. The fully automatic mode probably wouldn't give the same results. But for my wife and as a backup for me to take with me when I don't feel like it The G9X II is a great little compact camera for when I want to carry my DSLR around with me.
