Installing these lights is not for those who get easily frustrated and/or who have had too much to drink the night before watching the game on TV. First, the included mounts are practically useless. The screws are tiny, and if you need to screw them into drywall, they'll pop out with the slightest jerk. I ordered a 100ft roll. This is a lot of twisted rope that you need to straighten as you walk to get rid of unwanted twists in the line. It's important to remember that this is a "streak" light from the rope, so the light is primarily emitted from one side of the line. If it twists, you have a "dark spot" in your run. After about 2 hours of climbing and descending stairs using a spool of lightweight rope and a spool of double sided foam tape I had successfully installed and was very happy with the result. They seem to work fine with my old debt dimmer, but I'm going to buy a new LED compatible dimmer to make sure everything is ok.
