This is a good lens for Night/Astro/Aurora but high contrast shots (like daytime sky shots) have a lot of chromatic aberration from f2 to f22 - nowhere. In addition, the focus ring is sensitive to movement. So moving the setting even slightly will give you the same stellar coma you typically see on lenses that don't work well at night (although it's not exactly the case). Blow your focus away on impact, enough to ruin the stars) (stick that focus ring!). CA and manual focus/focus ring sensitivity make this lens pretty much exclusive to night/astrophotography/aurora photography. However, if you have everything set up perfectly, this lens works very, very well. This is my go-to for aurora photography (f2 is a must for capturing fast-moving auroras; sample photo attached), and by comparison my Sony f2.8 20mm lens looks like it was made by Fischer Price .
