Review on Enhance Your Security With Thinlerain Monitor: Raspberry Computer 13.3 Inch IPS, 1366X768, Wall Mountable, Built-In Speakers HD1303 by Jake Larson

Blurry display with poor viewing angles

This monitor's screen lacks color saturation and contrast, and the viewing angles are terrible even by TN panel standards. I would return it like another monitor with the same panel, but in a desktop (vs. wall) viewing situation this was tolerable for the application. This is the best 13 inch screen I've found, with a lower resolution of 1366x768, which I wanted to use for older computer platforms that don't support font and UI scaling. Most commonly, you'll find FHD 1920 x 1080 resolution screens in this size, which is preferred for use with modern platforms. I would not recommend this monitor for TV or entertainment applications. EDIT: The quality of this display is comparable to the screens on a regular Chromebook or budget laptop. That's about as much as my $200 Lenovo S330 Chromebook. Go for an IPS screen if you can find one, but I couldn't find an IPS larger than 12 inches with a native resolution of 1366 x 768. After using this monitor on a desktop for a while, it grew on me a bit - The large screen size is a big plus. However, you get a brighter and more colorful picture on a 12" Eyoyo EM-12B (ASIN B071YGS35Q, TN panel) or EM-12X (ASIN B07G8BMFCY, IPS panel) screen (I own both). It's all a compromise. None of these small monitors really compare to regular desktop monitors, the appeal lies in their compactness.

Pros
  • Too small for my needs
Cons
  • Not what I wanted, too small
