Poor workmanship - computers and accessories

When we first used this, one of the pins in one of the USB connectors broke. Without our knowledge, this led to a short circuit in the lines. X-Box showed a red ring of death and we had to turn it off to restart. The USB hub started smoking, so we turned it off. This is inappropriate. It was only $5 or so so I got rid of it and didn't return it.
