The ArtBin drawing board is well made and a great all round solution for carrying pencils, charcoal and drawing pads. . (It will fit 2-3 9x12 notebooks, depending on the number of sheets in the notebook.) The biggest problem is that the two artboards (inside and outside) have indentations right in the middle. So if you want to draw with free paper, you're out of luck, even if you use an underlay. If you look at the photo showing the open (and empty) drawing board, you'll see an indentation sticking out right in the middle. Inner surface. The photo of the drawing board from the outside doesn't show the dimple, but I have it.
