Unfinished Art Cabinet

I bought this as a cabinet for gem cabochons as I am a blacksmith/metal jeweler. I put sticky velor inside the drawers to keep the gems in place when the drawers are opened and closed. When applying the velour, I kept getting splinters from the wooden partitions and the edges of the compartments. I also noticed that they don't slide in and out smoothly. I put the velor in 2 drawers and put a lot of splinters in there with my fingers, I sanded all the drawers and compartment dividers. Then I…

Decent storage for pens and pastels

Excellent storage for crayons, pastels and drawing tools. In general, it's pretty strong. I like the ability to place two sets of boxes either side by side or next to each other. They look nice unfinished but I colored mine to make them easier to wipe off - the pastel can create a lot of dust that can cover everything! Drawers tend to stick a bit, but rubbing the edges with beeswax helps a little. I wish the dividers in the drawers could be easily removed. I have left dividers in most of the…

Very nice, attractive, versatile chest!

I love the mini dresser! I read the reviews and was a bit worried about the quality. In fact, everything worked - no disadvantages on my part! It's not a super high quality jewelry box, but in my area of crafting it would be overkill anyway. It looks very nice as it is and in the future I may paint, dress or decoupage it, but it's perfect for the way I use it. All drawers slide in and out easily.
