I think these little lights are beautiful. To be clear, these are decorative accent lights, so think carefully whether you want to see light (choose big LED bulbs) or just decorative lighting (choose these). with metal mesh. Insects glide easily and hold them in place with low friction. They fell a few times while I tapped them to hang them up, but now that they're up I don't think they'll come loose under normal circumstances. Maybe if they've been exposed to really strong winds or rain, but mine are on a covered patio so that's not a problem for me. A permanent dot of glue will likely solve this problem if needed. Before purchasing, I read a review that complained that the light was not in the bug's tail. That's right. I don't think it's fireflies. The light is in the center of the beetle's body under its feet. Granted a firefly design would be cool, but I can see how the error would be unbalanced then. I also read another review that complained that they could just buy a plain string of white lights and add their own bug clips. True, if you already have some cool bug clips, then this is probably the best plan for you. But other than that, I think it's a good option. All in all, I had to buy five strings of lights to zigzag through my room. All arrived working with no problems. They look great and add a little pizzazz to our evenings.
