I don't know what voodoo this bug zapper comes with but it definitely works. There were many flies in the house. Got it, plugged it in, and for some reason there were no more flies. They didn't fly in because I only see a dead one or two in the pot. Other flying bugs also seem to have disappeared. It just works. My biggest issue with this light is the power cord. It's too short. I don't think it's longer than 2 meters. It's hard to hang up because the cord is so short. You will need an extension cord for this.
