Review on 3 Sets Garden Hose Repair Connector Fitting - Aluminum Mender Female & Male End With Zinc Clamp, Fit 5/8" & 3/4" Hose by Niko Knight
Sturdy but not for all hoses
I had 2 hoses to repair. On my black rubber heavy duty hose this worked fantastic and had no issues. When repairing my green medium duty hose the fitting was not get snug enough. I wrapped the end of the hose in a few layers of electric tape to make the hose wider and was able to tighten it down so it would not leak, so far that has done the job, but I suspect it is not a long term solution. It be nice if it came with sleeves to accommodate smaller diameter hoses. Regardless, this beats out those plastic repair kits anyway.
- hard to find these bits in all brass. so far, pretty sturdy. Time will tell.
- The fittings are not suitable for industrial or heavy-duty use
