Review on AIRCARE MAF2 Replacement Wicking Humidifier by Shaun Stapp

This is my second winter with the humidifier. I love the moisturizer but the wicks are not holding up at all this year. Last winter (from late November to March) a filter lasted all season and the humidifier worked perfectly the whole time. This year the wicks don't seem to last more than 3 weeks before I notice the humidity dropping and the water level dropping very slowly. When I check the filter, it's not as dirty as it was last winter, but it's damp and bent, and there are small bits of it in the water. This has not happened in the past year. At first I thought my water had completely changed (we have our own well) but I didn't notice anything else in the house where water is staying (like the toilet). But from other reviews on here I'm not the only one who has noticed a huge difference between the current wick we get when ordering this part and what we've gotten in the past. This is a big loss in quality and costs a lot more than it should.
