BENEFITS: Fully charged battery before first use. Only worked great on my Catahoula in "beep mode". He is afraid of strange noises. The initial setup worked exactly as instructed. CONS: Tried for vibration and beep for my GSD mix, Mastiff. no reaction at all (he is naturally stubborn and has a thick ruff or neck). I won't use shock mode on my pets as I won't use it on my kids (I'm pretty sure vibrate/beep mode won't work on teenagers anyway haha). When it indicated the charge was low, I fully charged it again. He let me go through the settings but never worked with barking (or other verbal) stimuli again. I've spent quite a bit of time tweaking this etc. VERY PLEASED that it no longer works as it was effective on my Catahoula while it was working. He's an obsessed barker and I'd be happy with that. Also, I find it is too heavy for my 65lb Catahoula but fits my 120lb dog. I would recommend a lighter/smaller collar for a dog of this weight. I was hoping to use it for my two dogs.
