UPDATE: After this pair broke I bought a pair of ThinOptics goggles that come with a universal unit. These goggles are different: the part that sticks to your nose is no longer a metal strip, but plastic now attached to the top and bottom of the strip. They also didn't look like the original goggles that came with the key case: the lens frames are the same thickness, while the keychain goggles have a slight taper that helps them overlap when folded. I was hoping the universal pods would fit in a key case but due to the difference I didn't want to try them and ended up ruining my new glasses. It's been 1 year since I bought the generic ThinOptics pods and they are still flawless. I still miss being able to wear them around my neck, so I contacted ThinOptics through their website to see if I could just buy the glasses without the key case. They said if I send photos of the broken ones they will send a replacement for free. Luckily, for some reason I still had them, and after receiving the picture, ThinOptics immediately sent a new pair of replacement glasses for free, even without shipping costs. I am now changing my previous 2 star rating to 5 stars. Will be updated if there are issues with the new glasses. UPDATE TO UPDATE: I received new replacement parts - they are newer style and exactly the same as the ones I have which came in a universal case with plastic on both ends of the nose pieces. They also fit in a key case. I'm wearing it around my neck again and am a very happy customer :) ---- OLD REVIEW: I removed part of the keychain, put a smaller ring on the case and turned it into a necklace. I also sanded off the logo. Because of this, they're incredibly convenient as a cool looking necklace to wear when I'm out. In addition, all reviews are correct: It is manageable. The best way is to bend them and let them take over the nose - I had 2 spots on my nose where they would stay. They fall off when you move your nose or sneeze. The metal nose clip broke off. The first about a month after I bought it, the second many months later. They are less comfortable and leave marks on the nose without them, but they can still be used. Yesterday they broke completely, the springy part of the bridge was torn into several pieces. whether I want to replace them or just try something different. If they were cheaper I would just replace the glasses and keep using them with the case, but for $20 I could try something more comfortable and durable.
