Review on IRIS USA Top Entry Cat Litter Box with Scoop - Medium Size by Sandra Egan

I love this standard litter box

At first I was definitely skeptical that my 10 week old kitten would understand how to use it. I was advised to wait a few months and bring it with the old tray. That was the wrong advice. My vet told me we could do it sooner just to toss the dirty old litter from her previous box into the new box. So after bringing her home for a week and cleaning the floor every day, I figured we'd give it a try. She was definitely a little nervous at first, I let her sniff and get comfortable, then put her on and let her look inside. She slowly got up, then dug in and left. It took about a day or two for her to fully settle in. I kept an eye on it and every few hours I would just put it back in the box and put it on top or next to it. Also, I had to put an old folded towel to the side next to the box to use as a step (see photo) because at first she was a little scared about jumping on the box, even though I ordered a smaller one. It's been 2 weeks and I have to say I absolutely love this tray! No more cleaning up junk that's strewn all over the floor. It also looks very cute - nothing compares stylistically. The top is easy to remove, and grooves help remove dirt from the paws. I don't even need a rug underneath! I was concerned about the smell as the hole is upstairs but that's not a bad thing at all. If you get a covered stall, my vet said side entry stalls lack ventilation and can be bad for breathing. This at least allows dust to rise up and up. It comes with a small bucket which is hard to figure out how to attach to the box - I ended up using a larger one. I love this tray and so does my kitty. It doesn't even look like a tray, more like a nice trash can. When she grows up I will transplant her to a bigger one.
