This was bought to have a lined coat for winter outings. Ordered Wednesday after checking other comments for our 45 lb border collie. A bit big, the straps are as tight as can be. I don't think we could go with a small one. The fur goes beyond the tail, this is a dog with the tail up, and that annoys him a little. As with other commenters, the zipper is a bit odd, closing from tail to neck. The solution is to pull the coat over the front legs and then attach the straps. After a few times it got easier. The reflective strips are well placed and comfortable for our morning walks around the neighborhood in the dark. The lining is thin, we have a double fleece coat that is better in the loft, but the windbreaker of this coat is great for those windy and cold Michigan days. I only give four stars for the fit.
