Review on 🛠️ Mastercraft Model Airplane Tool Kit: Precision Scale Tools for Perfect Assembly by Charles Alvey

Excellent model, definitely requires effort and model making experience. This is a work of art. Yours may look terrible, but someone else's will look great. The quality is very good but there are a few issues with the instructions which if corrected would make the model exponentially more interesting to build and look better. A few notes: you really need to put a big stop sign on the spring that says "DO NOT CUT UNTIL IT'S ATTACHED TO THE BASE!" It exploded and cut my finger. The instructions aren't explained until the third page and the fine print on the first page isn't very clear or in the right place so it's easy to miss and the first page explains quite ambiguously. It is absolutely impossible to get the spring into position without securing it to the base before cutting the wrapping to release its tension. I had to shorten the spring by 1/4 of the original size. The model may or may not rotate depending on how accurate you make it. Another thing is that they really need to emphasize which direction the lines should go on the details. I don't understand why they couldn't just tell you which side the lines are coming from. It's really confusing because the parts are symmetrical. So if you have to redo something because the lines shouldn't be visible, the parts can break. Tip: A small amount of CA glue will make some parts of the assembly easier, especially if you have the CA Excelerator. Also CA was great when I had to copy some things and the hinges on the lantern broke. I had to look at the picture in front of my hand. The lines on the wings should point up, not down.
