Bought this headlamp for camping and boating use over the summer and it has proven really effective. I live in a fairly rural area so we have some good campsites but that also means we may have power outages during these winter months. As well as full brightness, the headlamp also has a dimming mode and red light mode, both of which are useful when searching for something at night and not trying to wake people up. The device uses three AA batteries, so be sure to bring the battery with you when you receive your headlamp.
