It sounded perfect with my Samsung Note10 mobile phone paired with a belt clip transmitter with a lapel wire mic clipped to my blouse. I then tried the transmitter with the short microphone switched on, connected it directly to it, strapped it to my blouse and then simply held the transmitter with the microphone connected to it in my hand. It worked out well both ways. I've come to the conclusion that this is a very versatile microphone system for cellphone interviewing. I love that you can use the wireless mic three ways: as a standard lapel mic, as a handheld mic (the mic connects to the receiver), and as a wireless lapel mic. Neck strap, but if you move while recording video, you may hear a rustle as the microphone rubs against your shirt.2. The sound is clear and crisp. I tested it from a farther distance than I would ever record an interview, more than 8 feet. I love that I can plug my headphones into the receiver and listen to the audio of the interview while I'm recording so I can make adjustments if needed. In summary, this will become my microphone for professional mobile phone interviews because it is more comfortable to use, has more functions and has a strong sound.
