I didn't dare to buy a brand I didn't know but when sparks fell from the barrel of my old Revlon hair dryer, I decided that it was time to get a new one. The manufacturer actually offered to refund the purchase price of the dryer in exchange for a review, but after corresponding with them I was suspicious of the complications involved. But I had it for about a month. now and use it several times a week. I like the rocker switches, which are very responsive (my old Revlon had slide switches that sometimes required two hands to move). The air concentrator stays on the barrel through friction and doesn't snap, which I prefer. It's powerful, dries my hair instantly and makes styling easy. It's not the lightest hair dryer, but I expect years of use because it's a bit more powerful than one of those $9 or $11 travel models. I wouldn't say it's heavier than a dryer of this size (maybe a little heavier than the old Revlon) but I have tendonitis in my elbow so it would be nice to find a dryer that's super light and powerful. I don't use a hair dryer that often that I would be willing to invest in a lightweight and powerful model (if you have one).
