It's not the cheapest piece of plastic in the world, but it saves me such a headache that I'm happy to pay the cost. My trays are very difficult to take out at the moment as I have so many attachments. I don't have long nails, but the shells were so tight that trying to rip them off with my nails bent my nails back (!). The tool does it in such a way that I remove them very quickly even with attachments. I also occasionally bring out trays outside of my home and we're having a pandemic, so I'm not keen on putting my fingers in my mouth if I can avoid it.
