Looking back after almost 1 year of use (10.5 months) I was looking for a new clothes hanger. In the past I've mostly used either a wicker basket or a cloth mesh bag to collect and carry my laundry. While they worked well, I wanted to use something more malleable than a wicker basket so it would be easier to maintain but more durable and visually appealing than a mesh bag. The clothes bag in the corner of the room didn't look good. After about a year of use I am quite satisfied with the basket. It was exactly what I was looking for, although a bit small for adults to wash. 1 set of bedding or a full week of clothes and a basket when full if not elevated. A common criticism in other reviews is that unless at least partially filled, a freestanding basket will not hold its shape. This is partly true, but needs a better explanation. Since the basket is made of cotton rope, it is naturally flexible. No ribbed interior walls or frames. As with many materials, constant compression and stress will cause the basket to lose some of its original flatness. It's not a word, but you know what I mean. I didn't take that negatively because I expected it. I mean when the unit came it was flattened and I had to shape it into a basket shape. Size Change: After a year of use, the basket has slightly increased in size and has shrunk vertically to 14.5 x 13.5 x 15.5 inches. NOTE: The dimensions of the basket correspond exactly to the interior. Dimensions (Width "A" x Width "B" x Height) 14.2" x 13.4" x 16.2" are listed on the inside, not the outside of the basket. Rope thickness is not included in measurements , 5/16" rope I would suggest the larger size 17.8 x 15.8 x 13.8 if you are an adult looking for a laundry hamper of this rating). I could see that the shrinkage/loss of shape was greater with the larger basket as a result): https://www.amazon.com/Goodpick-Extra-Large-Cotton-Basket/dp/B07D29B3P6/?th=1-PRO: Wide neck handles that are part of the basket continue the body of the rope. Very strong. The stitching is very strong throughout the basket. The stress points of the handles have very thick/heavy bonded stitching. than a mesh bag. CONS: The color was different than on the Photo shown, slightly lighter than expected Smaller than expected Better for baby or baby clothes or other storage Slightly 1/3 compression of basket bottom Used for almost 1 year (see photo)
