Understand what thread count really means and all the DIFFERENT ways to measure it. Before purchasing this sheet, I thought that a high thread count equated to a "density" of threads. Not so! And this sheet is a perfect example of misleading advertising. As I unrolled the sheet, I was shocked at how porous and open it was, almost translucent. Upon closer inspection of this very loose weave, I noticed that each "strand" is actually a twist of several (nearly thin human hair) strands. Every one of those pathetic threads is included in the total number of threads! At best, this sheet can count as 100 threads, but hardly. This sheet will not stand up to repeated use and washing under any circumstances. IF you are very careful and IF you use them sparingly and IF you do not move much when you sleep and IF you are of slim build and IF you wash this sheet like fine silk and IF you use very delicate detergents. then maybe you can extend the life of that leaf to a year. Maybe. We spend 1/3 of our lives sleeping, so it's worth spending the time and money for really high-quality sheets that are not only luxurious, but will last for years with regular use. There are a few facts such as B. how slabs are made and where the highest quality slabs come from, which most of us need to know to make an informed decision about slabs. Check the internet and YouTube. There is a lot of really good information out there to help you find the best bed sheets for your specific budget. Honestly, be as generous as you can (at first) and go for the best you can. With proper care (learn to do it!), quality sheets can last ten years or more. From what I've learned so far, Italian bed linen fabrics are the absolute best and there are several reputable manufacturers to choose from.
