Review on Holley 12 841 Adjustable Pressure Regulator by Rob Jimenez

Holley Bypass Fuel Regulator

This is a well made product which I hope will work. I use this to drop the fuel pressure from the EFI to replace the carburetor as the fuel pump in the tank is a high volume pump and without the regulator it would flood the carburetor. UPDATE: Well it's a bit frustrating after speaking directly to Holly on the phone. regarding my requirements. I have specified that I would like to keep the stock high pressure pump in the tank and what regulator would be best for this application. I was told on the phone that I needed 12-841. After installing and having trouble reading the incoming fuel pressure, I contacted Holley again to get this email. Thank you for contacting Holley Performance Products. 12-841 is designed for low pressure applications. You need a high pressure regulator. You need a 12-845 regulator. Sincerely, Jeff Teal. So that makes a big difference. About $100 and I don't have any cash. I'm usually very good at learning things and thought I'd done my homework on this regulator by contacting Holly personally. The regulator should drop the pressure from about 40psi to about 7psi and I used the fuel return line to make it work as expected but apparently someone at the factory gave me the wrong information. Pfff.
