You can't connect it directly to the battery. It killed my battery in 2 days. I connected ground to the battery and power to my brake fuse. If I turn off my spider, it turns off too. I can hear music clearly even at 75 km/h. At 80mph I hear the music but not all the words. I'm glad I bought this system. Great deal for the money. I bought this system a year ago and it works great for me. Don't waste your money. First of all I gave the Hawk 5 stars. It worked really well. Someone pulled the wired remote off my bike. So I figured I could just order a wired controller and it would work again, but it didn't. So I unplugged and unplugged everything to make sure the wire or fuse wasn't blown or shorted out, but it doesn't. So I lost $40-50 for the system and $10-15 for a wired replacement that never worked. Just buy the entire system new as replacing the system will not work. That's why I'm deducting 3 stars because. The new wired controller does not work.
