I first placed this on a short pile synthetic carpet after vacuuming it thoroughly with an expensive vacuum. SECOND, let's not pretend I almost got divorced for saying that. Third, after spending nearly 45 minutes covering the 10x13 space, the next morning I seemed to have everything spread out like a sheet. Almost doesn't stick to the carpet. I would try another manufacturer if I needed a product like this again.
