Review on Cherished Memories: Perfect Memorials Beloved Companion Cat Cremation Urn by Lisa Davis

The perfect way to remember your beloved pet

When my 18 year old cat died last summer I was devastated. We had a private cremation for her, so when I got the creams back I knew I needed something special to keep them. This urn is perfect. That's a lot more than I would need for the cremation alone. The pet crematorium returned them in a small silk pouch, inside a small wooden cube (my cat only weighed 6 pounds), and the cube fit in an urn, as did a memory card full of photos and videos, their favorite toys, and even a few physical pictures. The bottom of the urn is sheet metal and is secured with metal screws, so it is very secure. The urn is pretty solid overall and I have no concerns about durability. You might want to "stuff" the area behind the photo spot - as if you just put the picture and the plastic wrap in front of it you run the risk of falling out as it's quite loose. Or you can post multiple photos to add thickness. Regardless, I think that's the only downside. At first I found the color rather boring and thought of something "better" but after thinking about it and wondering what color would be best I realized that the color is the best possible for the urn. Overall this is a really good way to commemorate a beloved pet - it's sturdy, it's the right size for the place you want to display it and big enough to fit toys etc in addition to cremation.

Pros
  • High score for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
