This mug is huge and when I've finished my hot coffee I always drink lukewarm coffee, even if I preheat the mug with boiling water. It doesn't seem to hold the heat well, and since it takes me more than 5 or 10 minutes to down a 16oz coffee, it cools down before I'm done. Nice cup, well finished, appealing, just impractical, at least for me. If you drink your coffee very quickly or don't want it hot, this giant mug might be for you.
