Review on PerTronix D1070 Flame Thrower Distributor Chevrolet by Jerry Delozier
Doesn't work for my machine, sorry.
I enthusiastically bought this Pertronix HEI in hopes of improving the throttle response of my big Camaro. Unfortunately, I could not depict the curve. I changed the springs and couldn't get more than 29* at 3500 rpm. Pertronix customer service representatives were very friendly and tried to help but were unable to resolve the issue. I ended up switching to an MSD 6AL system with an MSD work spreader. That helped. about 14* initial extraction and fully open at 32* at 3500 rpm. Works perfectly.
