I really like their length, which is how I like to wear them, just below the knee. I've been cutting sweatpants into shorts for a long time as I've never seen them in the length (and style) I'm going to wear. When I found them I had to try them and I'm glad I did. The material is nice and comfortable, fairly light and appears to be of good quality. I think he will hold up well. The belt is wide and strong but not too stiff.
