I bought one of these for my chameleon hoping it would stop the crickets from escaping. Although some manage to pop out, for the most part they cannot and stay in place. Other feeders that don't jump have almost no escape, which is okay. So much so that I bought 2 more for my other chameleons. The use of sieve cells renders the suction cup unusable. I just plant them on a sturdy branch or vine. However, I have found a use for suction cups. They are ideal as handles for the sliding glass panes of another reptile enclosure. I put them on a few weeks ago and used them to open doors several times a day and they wouldn't budge. The only "problem" I've found with the two I later bought is that the top doesn't fit the bottom of the bowl well. The first was glued and is holding up well. The other two often fall apart. I'm sure a few dabs of super glue will fix it. Since I'm using an automatic atomizer, I also modified it by drilling tiny drainage holes in the bowl to keep the buggy from sinking.
