I bought 36 of these for a Halloween project. I've made a lot of artificial candles and didn't want to mess with tea lights and have to turn them on and off every day. Instead, I bought some C7 Christmas lights and replaced the bulbs with them; They work great. There are many reviews claiming that some of the bulbs were in poor packaging; I was thinking the same thing. But after playing with them I can say that they all work as advertised. Some bulbs may look bad, but if you put them in a different socket, they will work. And you might think "the socket is bad". But if you use a different lightbulb for that outlet, it works. It all boils down to shimmering technology; it is based on "random". So, a "bad" lightbulb may not work with a particular outlet at random times. If you wait, it will start working. Sometimes they work by screws/bolts. try them; you will not regret it.
