Review on Step Up Your Style With Franco Sarto Women'S L-Koko Wc Knee High Boot by John Bailey

Received A Wide Calf

I typically wear size 9 in women's shoes and I ordered these in a size 9. The sizing didn't say anything about being wide calf, but it came with a wide calf tag on it. I have fairly slim legs and the wide calf shaft is loose/leaves a gap between the shaft and my legs. Even my husband commented that 'boots aren't supposed to be loose on the shaft, are they?!' They weren't so loose that they fell down, but aside from aesthetics, they also made for some less than flattering leather noises when crosses and uncrossing my legs or shifting my legs. The size 9 in the foot part of the boot was the right size. I definitely could not size down any, but I possibly could go up to a 9.5. The heel is higher than I typically wear, but I felt like I had pretty good balance and definitely could master walking in them by wearing them more often. The question is, would I wear them more often? I think it comes down to comfort for me. These weren't painful to wear and I certainly have worn more uncomfortable shoes, but I just can't bring myself to keep a pair of shoes that I want to get off as soon as I get home. (Think taking your bra off when you get home. 😅) For that reason, I don't recommend these. These seem to me like good quality boots and you could definitely keep them in the box they come in with the shaft inserts in order to keep them nice over time.
