I looked at many leather laptop bags and messenger bags before deciding on this one. Although it's a bit stiff and takes some time to feel like it's taking on some character, it's very nicely made. The skin does not get dirty and is not erased. The haircut is great. The hardware makes a very solid impression. It stands for itself. And it has everything I need to carry with me every day. I'm taking off one star because of the laptop sleeve itself: a) it sits closer to the front of the bag than the back wall, which doesn't seem like the right spot for a horizontal orientation, and b) it's only soft on one side. . I had a lot of styrofoam from other projects and just put the right piece in my front pocket, but this is a real oversight.
