Review on 🚲 MIPS Adult Road Bike Helmet by BELL Avenue by James Womble

My trusty 15 year old Bell bike helmet recently rescued me. As a new owner of a popular e-bike brand, I've seen firsthand that these machines need to be taken seriously. On my second night I had a bad accident. It was pitch dark outside and I was riding down a winding bike path with nothing but a small headlight. A dangerous constellation of circumstances. In short, I was unconscious for about 20 minutes. On examination, I found that the inside of my helmet was cracked in at least 4 places. I can only imagine what would have happened if I hadn't put that helmet on. In gratitude for this rescue, I decided to stick with Bell for my new helmet. I really like the look of it so I gave it a nod. Well, not only is it very durable, but it is also well ventilated and very comfortable. It has what they call "MIPS" which is described as a slip plane designed to reduce rotational forces. Essentially, this means that when a helmet is put on, the outer shell is free to rotate to a degree for further shock absorption. It also makes the internal webbing on your head rather than the shell itself. I repeat - very handy. Highly recommended. Ride the Rada!
