Bought to replace a 30 year old 70 channel cable amplifier. I'm sure the old device I have still works, but not as well as the new one I just got. I wasn't disappointed that I would magically start receiving a new channel. However, I bought this item to boost a signal that I was already able to pick up. I have quite a long queue and placed this little device in the middle as the queue enters the house. Already strong signals have not changed. However, the weaker signals went from 1 or 2 bars to 4-5 bars. I no longer see as much signal drop off and am quite happy with the amp. UPDATE: After only 1 month of use the unit stopped working and I had to go back to my trusty old amp which is about 30 years old and still works. ! The block actually started blocking the signal instead of amplifying it. Downgraded from 4 to 1 star. Better use your money and buy another product.
