Review on ๐Ÿฅพ Columbia Men's Redmond Mid Waterproof Hiking Shoe: Reliable Footwear for Outdoor Adventures by Jason Dahlkemper

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Narrower, smaller and shorter than the previous average camper. (Photo)

Before reading the review, just look at the photos for comparison. My old shoes are 13Regular and my new shoes are 14Wide. The old boot is both wider and longer. Today they return. I was looking forward to them being a great replacement for the previous Columbia Mid hikers which wore out after about 2 years of use. Although I ordered them a size larger and wider, they are a size smaller and the same width as my old boots. My old boots are actually wider and normal width. If you expect them to be wide, they won't be that wide at all. Also, when I replace an older model of "medium" hiking boots, they are shorter and have less ankle support. My ankle in the old pair was well protected and supported; With them my ankle is right on top of the shoe. Unfortunately, Colombia has no other choice. So now I'm considering sending them back and cleaning the old ones until a new model comes out. For $100 I really don't want to compromise on ankle support and fit.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • There are disadvantages
