Review on 🌬️ Monitoring Indoor Air Quality with the Stellate Detector: Ensuring a Healthy Environment by Loren Schmidt

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Colorful, probably somewhat accurate

Pros: + Easy to read: Yellow = Warning, Red = Bad Air + Convenient form factor + Quiet fan + User-friendly setup interface including Celsius/Fahrenheit toggle + TVOC and HCHO count increases , when there is no fresh air in the room, and decreases rapidly when the window is open. Disadvantages: - my device had a faulty charging connector, which sometimes stopped charging - accuracy seems questionable, PM meters always show single digits regardless, like there is a lot of dust around, and calibration doesn't seem to have any effect either - the display Has the worst viewing angles I've seen on an electronic device: if you're not standing directly in front of it, the colors start to vary, distort and fade, making the screen difficult or impossible to read . Recommendation: I'm not sure if it's worth the price. If PM accuracy is important to you, your money is probably better spent on the Dylos DC1100. Otherwise, this block could be a good temporary fix until the company develops a more accurate all-in-one monitor.

Pros
  • Indoor Air Quality Meter
Cons
  • High price
