The device worked mostly as described. To me, this is less of a deterrent and more of a goal to get the dog's attention. That's not to say it doesn't work, my dog is very tolerant of everything. However, this was surprising as it works very well on pet rats as they stop fighting as soon as they hear this. I would only recommend this product because the ability to get attention from dogs is great. In addition, the device has an audible alarm that works well to stop the dog on its way. We taught her to use the shock collar, but now all we have to do is use the beep on the collar to make her stop. She knows that the shock usually follows the beep.
