I compared this $20 UV light to an identical $40 UV light.
At first I gave this one 4 stars out of 5 only because it doesn't perform as well as the twice the price version in ambient light. When searching for urine stains with stronger UV light, the contrast is higher. However, it's still a great value if you're looking for urine stains, especially at night. Both light sources looked like the objects were glowing the same way. Also, the body of this flashlight seems better than the more expensive version as it has a textured grip and is heavier.
