Review on Toyo Observe G3-Ice 285/60 R18 120T winter by Mateusz Weber ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Wonderful quality, one hundred percent satisfied!

Auto: Seat Leon 1.4 tsi City :SPb Mileage : 13000 Despite the fact that it is minus 10 outside the window, the snow will melt soon enough. And with it, memories of the experience of operating winter tires of a new brand for me will also sink into oblivion. That's why I decided to write this review. Let's go by the priorities that I set for myself. #controllability. For the first time in my history, cornering grip on winter tires is better than on summer tires at temperatures of +5…+10. And as the temperature drops, it only gets better (I'm not saying that on ice!). Braking is also predictable. On ice, too, everything is in order, but on the powder, the cheap Nordman holds much stronger. #comfort This was the second criterion for choosing tires, and yes, they are good here! Rubber is a little louder than summer (my Mr. Matador), and summer tires can be noisier, for example Dunlop sp9000. Regarding this reference, TOYO may be quieter! # wear resistance It's too early to say, but at the last MOT I noticed the spikes on the front wheels that fell out, everything is ok in the back. I think it will be enough for 2-3 seasons even with my run. Further, the rubber will simply lose its physical properties and still be scrapped. Summary, albeit in-between: Recommendation to buy if you want a personal because of the comfort and safety on the pavement, but you are afraid that the public utilities will not clean the roads a couple of times during the season. For harsh winters and careless cleaning services, the road may not be suitable. Also not an option for perfectionists running for a new set of tires as soon as 3 studs fall out. Thanks to all!

Pros
  • Quiet, good handling on asphalt, ice, coasting
Cons
  • Poor powder handling
