Review on 🌑️ AMIR Refrigerator Thermometer (New Version) - Wireless Indoor Outdoor Sensor Temperature Monitor with Audible Alarm by Cindy Payne

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A simple, efficient and useful dual monitor device monitors the temperature of your fridge/freezer.

RESULT: An affordable and easy way to control the temperature in your fridge and/or freezer to ensure your food stays where it should be. Insert batteries, set upper and lower limit and forget about it. About as easy as it gets. Very happy. For peace of mind it's worth it. 5 STAR THOUGHTS: Having just stocked our large freezer in the basement with half an Angus beef, I thought it would be a good idea to make sure everything was maintained at the correct freezing temperatures. Our freezer is decades old and always works perfectly, you never know when it will expire. That would be a heck of a lot of perfect food (and money) wasted if that ever happened. We don't go down every day to get food or check it, so after some research on the internet this inexpensive little remote thermometer seemed like a good way to keep track. As a bonus, this unit is set up for two separate sensors/tracking readings, so I placed the other sensor in the bottom freezer drawer of our kitchen fridge. They're both under strict surveillance now, so hopefully we won't have any nasty surprises! The instruction manual was helpful, but setup was intuitive. Set upper and lower limits, decide whether you want each sensor to beep (about the same volume as most cooking timer beeps), and place it where it's most convenient for you. (The receiver box has a nail or screw hole, a retractable leg so you can mount it vertically on a counter or window sill, and 4 strong magnets so you can attach it to your stove or fridge. The main receiver takes 2" AAA -Battery ", for remote sensors - 2 x "AA" batteries. The manufacturer recommends using lithium batteries for longer life. I'm not sure regular batteries will last very long in freezing single digit temperatures, so I ran for a set of Energizer lithium batteries - just in case.*** I also wanted to mention that when I got mine I couldn't get any readings from sensor #1.I've tried different batteries and whatnot without Success.I contacted the sellers (AMIR) and they responded promptly and politely with a few suggestions which I tried but still no soap.I emailed them again and they offered me an egg ne full refund and claim or can i be willing to take the risk and order again. I did and a replacement came a few days later. When I put the batteries in, I quickly discovered that the problem with this first original unit was not the remote sensor, but the main receiver/display monitor; Sensor #1 was dead. Oddly enough, they said I didn't have to bother with returning a defective original. So now I have a second one that only shows a reading but instead of throwing it away or leaving it in a drawer I just used a fully working replacement unit to monitor our freezer AND fridge upstairs and now that original unit is just that with an operating temperature dedicated to the large freezer below. Now I can keep EVERYTHING chilled or frozen. A win! THAT is what I call outstanding customer service!
