All this is a purely personal opinion of a person who switched from Xiaomi to an iPhone. The choice was very difficult, because not many good phone models came out in 2022, and those that came out turned out to be quite controversial, including this iPhone. My choice was between iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, Pixel 5 and some other brands like Oneplus, Samsung and Xiaomi. The eleventh iPhone was not satisfied with the quality of the screen, the mini turned out to be too small for watching videos, and the fifth pixel at the time of buying the iPhone cost 98 thousand, and this is with a dubious guarantee and not the top stuffing, the rest of the phones were not satisfied for various reasons.
In general, I'm satisfied with the phone so far, we'll see how it behaves further.

Pros

What I personally like: - Excellent high resolution OLED screen. I compared it with the 11th (whose resolution does not even reach full hd), the screen is just heaven and earth, this became the main factor in choosing the 12th iPhone. At first I doubted it very much, being afraid for my eyes because of the PWM in the OLED matrices, especially since I use the phone mainly at night at minimum brightness, but in practice it turned out that my eyes do not get tired at all, at least mine, although I was sure that sensitive to flicker. - Sound. I was simply shocked by the sound from the speakers of the phone itself. I didn’t expect anything from the phone’s speakers at all, I just accidentally started music without headphones and was a little taken aback, because the sound is very deep, with bass, and most importantly with good stereo, for which you can forgive the bangs. With such a sound, it is much more pleasant to watch videos + I started playing music from my phone much more often. - Form factor. For a long time I was waiting for the return of rectangular faces, because they are stupidly more convenient to hold in your hands, compared to the same iPhone 11, especially because of this, the phone has become a little smaller, with the same screen sizes. - Ceramic Shield. Of course, I didn’t check it myself, but after watching a million videos with crash tests of the new screen, I was surprised by its strength, given my curvature (the last phone dropped several times in the very first days after buying the phone). So I hope the tests don't lie. - Speed and smoothness of work. The new CPU works as it should, no twitches or freezes + the shell is well designed, making using the phone a pleasant game. - Magnetic charging. So far I have not bought a magician safe, but it looks quite convenient, besides, the phone is now equipped with quite powerful magnets, which allows you to stick it a little on the cold door next to the magnets from Hong Kong.

Cons

So, most importantly, cons: - Price, I took the 128GB version for 78k + 20w power adapter for 1900 - Lack of power adapter and headphones. It is especially offensive for me, a person who buys an iPhone for the first time. - The cameras are not wow at all, they are just good, nothing more. We compared the night mode with the 11th iPhone, it’s not particularly different, in the 12th it’s just that the pictures are a little bit brighter and a small color corrector works. The front camera was especially upset, because I switched from Xiaomi, which left some functions of the beauty filter even when it was completely turned off by software, and now there is nothing like that and now I am again a freak in the pictures. On the other hand, but honestly, but still I turn on the front camera much less often. - Ceramic Shield. Yes, I wrote about this in the pros, but you have to pay for strength in that the screen is scratched from any touch, so protective glass is a must, since with the new form factor it is much easier to stick it. - The phone almost 80k lags at times. Only today there was a bug with the fact that video stopped playing in all applications. I had to reboot, and the reset buttons on iPhones have not yet been delivered by the way, which I consider a very stupid decision. Hope they fix it with ates. - Lightning instead of Type C. Seriously, even on the cheapest devices I have a type c port, but here it is still lightning. Although with the next generation of phones, this will all cease to be relevant, because Apple is seriously preparing us for removing the charging port and leaving only the magic safe. - Simply the worst oleophobic coating that could be + screen surface that feels like plastic from the screens of the ancient Nokia 5800. Even the cheap protective glass that I put on the phone has better oleophobic. - The absence of always on with the full possibility of its implementation. - Some cons of the shell, which, after switching from android, seem to be hopeless stupidity (automatic inclusion of Wi-Fi, the requirement of payment data to install applications)
