Review on πŸ”Œ Anker 4-Port USB 3.0 Unibody Aluminum Data Hub for MacBook, iMac, Surface Pro, and More by Nathan Issa

Revainrating 5 out of 5

OUTSTANDING customer service

Although it appears to function as a hub, it looks more like a USB 2 hub than a USB 3 hub USB external hard drives (WD 1TB and WD Passport 500GB article), Finally, I connected the drives directly to the two USB 3 ports on the motherboard. And guess what, the actual transfer speed has increased from 20-30MB/s to 100MB/s. And yes, the hub originally connected to one of the USB 3 ports per MB. Unfortunately the returns window was closed when I noticed this. I'm giving it a second star because at least it works. UPGRADE TO 5 STARS: After my negative review, Anker's customer service contacted me. and offered to ship a new device free of charge, with no obligation to use or retest. I tested the plug-in unit and it transfers a file incredibly fast (north of 100Mbps) between my two external USB 3 drives. I think I was just unlucky to get a defective block initially, but no manufacturer can guarantee 0% failure. Due to the great customer service and a device that works as it should, I'm increasing my rating to 5 stars. The lesson I learned is that if you have a problem with an Anker product, you should contact Anker Customer Service - they got it right for me.
