Exactly what I needed.
I bought a used receiver and it didn't have a remote control. The whole reason I wanted this remote was better control over the surround sound features (including built-in tests). Ideal. Oh, as a bonus, the new Apple TV 4K could train that remote to control the volume, so now I have a remote (the new Apple TV remote) to control everything.
