Review on Enhanced KeySmart Compact Holder Keychain Organizer for Commercial Access Control in Commercial Door Products by Dave Russell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great key carrying solution

*****UPDATE 3.25.16******************** A year and a half later, KeySmart is evenly better. I didn't have to tighten the screws for several months. The paint is really strong with the key fitted on top not rubbing off. I get a lot of comments on this and have never had a problem with it - not a single broken screw. One benefit I haven't seen before is that I no longer have to search and find specific keys. Depending on how it's held in your hand, you'll get pretty good at remembering which key is in which slot over time. When I get to the front door, the key is ready. This feature is very valuable when you have your hands full! I like my KeySmart very much.******************************************** ****** ****** ************************** Original rating: ********* * ************************************************** *** ****** *** This thing is amazing. I hated it when I had my keys stuck in my leg during the day and was constantly looking for a solution. A few things to consider before you buy: Car keys with plastic bases (such as those with transponders) will not work in KeySmart. and needs to be connected to a keychain at the top - my wife's Hyundai key doesn't have a transponder but is long. It works fine for enhanced KeySmart but not for regular KeySmart. Assembly is not as difficult as some think. Is it embarrassing? Yes. But if you watch the video and follow the instructions, it's easy to do in a few minutes. - When my car key is connected to the key ring, there are some scuffs and dents where the ring rubs against the KeySmart. It's not a serious problem, but the black has faded and bare metal shows through. I installed Leatherman 831678 Brewzer/Box S/S and it works very well. Over time, the screws loosen a bit. Tightening the coins is required about twice a month. Many other reviews complain about the breakage of the extension screw. I have no experience of this happening after months and lots of glitches and reassemblies. One thing to watch out for could be the culprit - when reassembling it seems like you can easily overtighten the screw. The details are small, the thread is fine. Make sure everything is straight and aligned properly before rotating it and you shouldn't have any problems (at least I don't). All in all, I highly recommend this item. It's really nice to get rid of a messy, annoying bunch of keys in your pocket. This is a cool little gadget that has a great function.
