Perfect door bottom. Simple and well done.

This is a great door panel. I used it on a 32" door and cut it with a cutoff saw. It's thick enough to make a good cut. Looks like new and goes perfectly with the window sill I installed.

Durable, looks great!

Installation is much easier than I expected. I was able to position it by hand and didn't need a hammer. Looks great, the protective case stays in place and does the job. Being aluminum it's more of a thermal bridge anyway than the vinyl part it replaces for me, but it looks sharp and I can use my shoes to work on the door without worrying about wear and tear . I can't find these things at my local Lowes or Home Depot.

Missing parts, scratched

It's very heavy and I'm sure it's perfect for what I need to repair, but the kit didn't include a rubber flange or any screws. There are also large visible scratches. See attached photos of everything I received (aluminum door frame, assembly instructions, plastic packaging) as well as scratches. It's not worth returning such a large item for a refund as I lose the shipping cost. Flange and screws must be purchased separately. I am extremely disappointed.

Perfect for non-vinyl sweeping jobs

This custom made aluminum piece is perfect for filling the large gap in the new door jamb and sill I installed. The gap was just over 2.5cm, and no other door brush could fill this gap. The only thing that worries me about this part is that in the picture it looks like it has a vinyl brush. It's not like this. I hope the seller makes it clear that it is not included in the vinyl stripping kit, or is it included? Regardless, I spent an extra $5 stripping to get the job done.

Solid product missing parts

Bought this to use on a front door. It looks a little "commercial" (because it is), but it suits my needs well. Most screws are missing (there are many more holes than screws) - it was packaged in flimsy, cheap plastic that was torn, which probably explains the lack of screws. Unfortunately I clipped it and installed it halfway before realizing it. Generally good. It would be nice if all parts were included and packaged better.

Easy repair for a delaminating door!

So the bottom of my door was peeling where the front skin was separating from the frame and started to warp and generally looked bad. I've been looking for something similar at a warehouse, but all the weather covers they have for the bottom of the doors don't reach as high and don't press on either side of the door as much. I just put it on, screwed it in, attached the rubber and everything was perfect without having to buy a new door! Would I buy again if the same problem occurs with my other

  • Big and bulky

I have a Sears kit that was built at my home in Cape Charles, Virginia in the 1920's. One of the front doors had a gap at the bottom ranging from 1/4 inch to nearly a full inch. After finding a 6 foot long snake skin in the basement I decided it was time to do something about it. Stripping the underside of my door, and so far no more snake skin! This weather protection is made of thick aluminum and is well made. It was easy to install and does a great job as weather protection and snakes. You…

Looks very solid and will last a while

Worked great to weatherproof the underside of my aging garage door. The aluminum is quite thick, which is good. The instructions say to use a hacksaw - too much work. I used a miter saw (put on goggles and earmuffs and move slowly) to cut each end to size. Just make sure the underside where the rubber goes is facing out (remove the rubber before cutting, of course) so the blade doesn't catch on the edges and bend or warp your new piece! Also remember to check the cut on the door and then insert

Ideal for reinforcing a door

Need something to reinforce the bottom of my basement door after the wood has rotted and the metal has started to become brittle and flake. I replaced the wood then added this and the door is like new. Waterproof! Here are some notes. Cutting: Aluminum is very easy to cut with a hacksaw, and caulk is easily cut with a utility knife. Installation: very easy. I placed the aluminum on the marked holes, took it off and pre-drilled the holes before finally screwing it down. A very painless process…

Excellent Repair to an Old Door

This is a great repair to an old door that has a cracked bottom. Our door was so bad some of the screws didn't even want to stay in so I need to find another solution to hold it better in some places but for now it's stuck with a few screws that are left. Inch Cutting wasn't the easiest as I don't have much cutting power or maybe better tools, but it was still possible to cut a little to fit everything. It would have been better if it fit the door, but it was a little longer than we needed so…
