We bought some plates to use as dinner plates and other Coelle plates to use as salad and dessert plates. The plates are a little prettier and stronger, but they can't be used in the microwave for more than a few minutes or the food will stain the plate. Dishes are better than plates, but you still have to be careful. I really like plates and they are a much better size than plates for things like steak or fish.
