This Christmas a kind late night visitor decided he needed access to my locked glove box to give me a glove box and center console without a mess, along with the opportunity to reunite with my favorite insurance agent. Which present! In doing so he (I'm sure by accident) broke my glove box latch. Thankfully, this replacement made the repair relatively painless. I used a small screwdriver to pry the locking mechanism out of the old latch and slide it into this new latch (the new one doesn't have a lock). After removing the two screws in the glove box that held the latch in place, replacing it was a breeze. The color matches perfectly and by using the original lock cylinder the lock is still tied to my ignition key. This is a 2004 Toyota 4Runner Sport with a light gray interior.
